About Us

Welcome to BSA Troop 618! Chartered in 1990, we are the oldest Troop in Rancho Santa Margarita, celebrating more than 25 years of Scouting!

We welcome Scouts and their families from the surrounding South County communities. Troop 618 prides itself on providing many different opportunities for our Scouts to advance in rank while at the same time have a great scouting experience!

Troop 618 is part of the Saddleback District in the Orange County Boy Scouts of America (OCBSA).   Our chartering organization is RSM Cares.  Troop 618 meetings are held at the Las Flores Middle School.

We are fortunate to have a group of very active adults who assist in helping the troop to function and highly trained Scout leaders who support the Scouts' development and execution of the troop program.

Troop 618 Scouts are active year-round and offer a camping / outing every month, along with community service activities and a week-long summer camp experience. Our aim is to provide a varied program that meets the needs of our newer Scouts while providing more challenging activities for our experienced Scouts.

Come find out how much fun it is to be a Scout in Troop 618!
